Dr. Alkaitis Organic Herbal Toner

A boon for the skin. I had been eyeing up this brand for at least four years now, and after trying a sample I was enthralled enough to buy. Dr. Alkaitis is an organic brand, and this toner is formulated with wild crafted herbs including Myrrh, Chamomile, European Elder Flowers, Rosemary, Fennel and Kelp among other good green elements. I use it by applying to a multi-layer cotton square and swiping my face with it and I also drop a penny-sized amount into my palm and press into my face. With the cotton square I also lightly go over my lips to remove lipstick residue that may not be visible to the eye. It also works as a pre-makeup step to prep the skin. Within three months of use and counting, this has clarified my dry skin and improved its tonicity. It has a mild earthy smell which I look forward to and is to me, reminiscent of a cottage garden. This toner is recommended for use as an anti-inflammatory, for after-sun and even as a daily moisturiser for oily skin.

Avance Lash Serum in Mascara

I encountered this on one of my mad hunts for whatever the internet said was one of the best mascaras. I believe that it has become quite common knowledge that some of the best mascara formulas come from Japan. Thus, I was happy to find it on a popular online purveyor for about 18 USD. At first use, I was a bit miffed. Then, I used it again, and then again and with each use I understood it better, I saw that the formula was indeed unlike the other mascaras in my rotation. It is a proper black, glossy, smooth as silk in its application without nary a clump. This mascara is formulated with the same ingredients of the Avance Lash Serum, which includes silk essence, hyaluronic acid, carrot extract and liquid moisturisers. It's touted as a way to take care of your lashes while using makeup. I'm now excited by this mascara, and I reach for it when I want to emphasise my eyes and do less on the rest of my face. It certainly holds its own against pricier options.

Gucci Luxurious Moisture Lipstick in Boudoir

There's something about Gucci. If you've always wanted in, this is an easy entry into a brand that has dazzled many people the world over. When Gucci introduced beauty in 2014, it was wildly anticipated and rightly so. Under the direction of Pat Mc Grath, renowned make artist, Gucci Beauty is that very cool chick who makes you wonder what her secret is. The lipsticks are extraordinary and gets the job done with one swipe. Deeply pigmented and sublimely smooth on the lips, this is a proper lipstick in the truest sense. The technology is superb and the result is a lipstick that delivers on colour saturation, hydration and longevity. On it's technology, the colour adjusts as it wears on the lips to elicit nuances from wearer to wearer. This is the best lipstick I own.

Sisley Express Flower Gel Mask and Sisley Instant Perfect

Sisley Paris. A brand that has many people under its spell. I fell prey when I realised they offer a beauty box subscription. Of the five products included in a past month's box, the gel mask and instant perfect have gotten quite a bit of use from me, along with the mascara.
